Paralax seems to be hot topic these days
I'm quite tempted to make something like F.I.R.E. shooter, with bosses from Fantasy Zone.

Re: Paralax test
Looks great! The parallax really brings the graphics to life
Re: Paralax test
Thanks. It Is really funny that single character line, split into 3 and 5 pixels belts can look so well.

It felt empty so I have added 16 sprites.

If you're going for 25 fps, is there room for a third scrolling row? Slow mountains for example. It does look good as it is though.
I don't have one. I like a nice variety of mainly front-on attacks with a random position & chase element, with a few from above and below, even fewer from behind, and fewer still—perfect sine wavesWhat is your favorite enemy attack pattern ?
Re: Paralax test
It could be done, three or four characters on heigth, but I want some enemies sitting on ground and I don't know how to combine background and OR sprites without getting a complete mess.
