Reviews for Mrs Mopp (#3315)

Mrs. Mopp. An early game from my youth playing games on the Speccy. Not a classic game by any means but still a good playable title. Simple one screen game where you must collect different items using different cleaning products. A good score challenge game.
The game is only let down by the way you can get easily trapped and only have a very limited "Spell Power" to get out of a tight spot.
Still well worth a few minutes...

This game is charming and full of humor . . . I like it ! ! !

A girl designed and programmed this game , no doubt ! ! There is a female touch that you cannot resist in every detail ! !

Congrats miss Billet !

Clothes, dish-wash, and general rubbish gets accumulated like magic. For Mrs. Mopp it's just another busy day of housewife. Her job is to collect each item with the corresponding colour basket, and when her hands are full she will start flashing, then she has to take it to the appropriate appliance. In each level the mess seems to accumulate. So to help her out when things get near impossible, she has spells she can use to destroy any nearby items. She also has a bottle of wine she can drink when getting stressed out.
This is a completely new game to me, never played it before, and it was a nice surprise.
It looks a bit old even for 1984 (not by much, though), but plays very well, and it's amazingly addictive.
I liked the cartonny looking Mrs.Mopp and the graphics in general. I don't thing this game was meant to win any prizes, but at least won the prize of time, because it's still as addictive as I guess it was in 1984.

Uninspiring panic game, with aspirations to a game like Pssst, but with a stereotyical 1980s housewife as hero.
Humour and cute graphics rescue Mrs Mopp which has low playability. Gliding around the screen soon becomes impossible.
The addictive quality seen in other reviews passed me by.
Four simple levels would seem to point to 16K but it is 48.
Mrs Mopp walks out if the house gets too messy and can quell her anxieties with wine; Maybe the game really was a cry for help.

A housewife simulator, who would have thought it? It's not overly terrible but it gets repetitive, boring and you're constantly getting stuck with nowhere to go. It was interesting at first, but then that interest wore away very quickly.
