Reviews for Mission Jupiter (#9378)

A budget side-scrolling shoot-em-up where you have to negotiate ten levels packed with ten different kinds of enemies.

For a budget game it is quite reasonable: adeguate graphics, even if some color schemes look rather questionable, and sound effects. The fact that you have to negotiate each level in a peculiar way, plus the need to take care of your fuel and ammunitions, add some depth to the action.

Not a masterpiece, but an enjoyable little game for run-and-gun fans.

It's Mission Jupiter...or Jupiter Mission as Your Sinclair called this...which one you prefer I couldn't give a toss. This is one of the earlier Codemasters games and was written by Derek Brewster who is arguably most famous for Codename MAT and The Curse of Sherwood.

Anyway it's a runny and shooty type game and this isn't bad at all, especially for the budget price it was released for it would actually have made quite a nice purchase, two quid for this and I personally would have been well pleased.

Truthfully it doesn't take long for this to get old and repetitive but it's good for a quick blast nonetheless.

Well, there is nothing new or grandiose here, only a fun and mild entertaining game with enough action to keep you playing for awhile. It would have been a lot better if only the programmer had chosen a better color scheme to the lower half of the playing area. Instead it becomes a messy experience sometimes.

Walking and flying [by jet pack] space horizontal shoot'em up, with fast dynamics, smooth movements and blindness syndrome caused by colour choices. It's a very simple gameplay, but not unpleasant. Remarkable loading screen.

Budget game in which an astronaut equipped with a jet pac must descent into the depths of planet Jupiter through ten levels avoiding obstacles and shooting every inhabitant he come across, picking up fuel units and laser boosters and control their levels.

It's an horizontal shooter with a good scroll but the graphic part might have been better: the character and the background often misleads the player.

In summary, not a bad game. Even it can become addictive. Value for money.
