Summary:
A 64k companion add-on planned for sale as part of the package for the game Bandersnatch that never went into production. It was primarily designed to expand the ZX Spectrum 48k to roughly 128k (similar to Mikro Gen's Mikro-Plus) and also to help prevent software piracy, since the hardware was considered complex and expensive to replicate. Imagine Software even contacted a Taiwan company called PCI to produce around 100,000 units, but closed its doors before Bandersnatch's completion, leaving the add-on stuck in the prototype phase.
