911 TS was promoting a Dunlop tyre, and not a cheap way to get a Porsche brand tie-in. Perish the thought.

Re: ZX Gaming Survey

I like RPGs and get the urge to make a bard's tale type game for the spectrum. ... If I can't be bothered then I assume hardly anyone has played any rpg for the spectrum released after 2005? Wychweald came in 2nd in the 2023 Game of The Year vote on here, and it's exactly a Bard's Tale style RPG. S...

I'm now wondering why I ever thought Eugene's Lair was difficult. My 14-year-old tried Manic Miner a few weeks ago ( with infinite lives on) and made it as far as Eugene, as is traditional. They eventually got the last key but at the wrong time, and was aghast when Eugene blocked the way. Still tri...

I dunno, I remember being pretty thrilled when I finally got to mess with Dracula / Frankie.
Maybe not useful for a speed run or whatever, but still cool.

This is surprisingly great!

I do think I saw a bug where I half-ate a power pill which disappeared but I didn't get powered up. Like I turned around while eating it at just the wrong moment? Still, great work.

2. Frank Bruno, 'arry. If you know what I mean.
3. Wild West Hero, even though I've never heard of it before now, it looks like Robotron and I like Robotron.

Throwing a new name into the ring: did Richard Shepherd Software ever release anything worthwhile?
Urban Upstart is a solid gold classic.
Also continues the emerging trend of Pete Cooke saving dodgy software houses from their shame.

I got to level 2!

This is good fun. Critically, restarting is instant, and you restart on level 2, doesn't kick you back to L1.

Thor.

Although they did publish Arc of Yesod, which might make up somewhat for the Giant's Revenge cycle.

Should be possible to run a web server for that on my home PC and move files that way, right?

Of course, it'd be easier to just move my sd card around, I suppose. But I won't be happy about it.

Right - next daft question :

Is it possible to browse the network, see SMB shares etc from the Next? I dislike taking out the SD card to copy files over. Would be nice if I could grab things from a share.
