Re: ZX-Uno General discussion
Another question if someone knows. Is it possible on ZX-UNO to disable second AY chip (Turbo Sound) and then how to set AY chip from stereo to mono ? Maybe I'm wrong, but I have noticed in Aufwiedersen Monty, that the first 5-6 seconds in main menu tune sounds somehow different, strange, it seems t...

Re: ZX-Uno General discussion
Without testing it you risk it not being able to run at 50Hz vertical frequency, and that is imperative if you want to enjoy the ZX-Uno and the cores running on it.

A 19" TV / Monitor that works well is the LG Flatron M1917A . It has RF, composite video, SCART, S-Video and VGA inputs. It supports 50Hz vertical frequency via VGA. I have two and use it with my FPGA and real computers (Spectrum +3 and Atari 800XL). https://www.cnet.com/products/lg-m1917a-flat...

Re: Long Filename Browser for ZX-UNO / esxDOS
A request for a future version of the browser. Create a plugin for the .TFC files which are sound files for Turbo Sound FM (on the ZX-Uno there is a spectrum core by azesmbog which has support for it). Now we can only play with the .playtfm command.

Re: Playing Robotics on ZX UNO+
Well, Robotics isn't important at all, but my concern is, does this issue affect some other games ? If there are more such examples, then we still have a certain problem, here ... I'm glad you fix this on ZXDOS+ and as far as I'm concerned, if this behavior doesn't show up on your or kyp Uno core, ...

@azesmbog of course can turn off the hell of a Kempston joystick, but give it a "wrong" file that does not work correctly. For check. Hi azesmbog, The programme under discussion is Frenzy (a.k.a. Robotics): https://spectrumcomputing.co.uk/entry/4193/ZX-Spectrum/Frenzy Use the .Z80 version...

Re: Changes to Homebrew games
Where is your game within the distribution? Let's see if by pulling the thread I can find out where I got it from. Speccy/Homebrew/2014 On the other hand, when I go to publish the DLC 1.0 I can replace that game with the correct one that you indicate to me. https://spectrumcomputing.co.uk/entry/301...

Re: Changes to Homebrew games
How usual is it for homebrew games to have changes not authorised by the author? I ask as I've just updated my ZX Uno to the link here: https://zxuno.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=4142&sid=093f1e5275c72b8e2f8cda5499be56b9 In the post there's an img with lots of games, including my Bob The ...

Re: Long Filename Browser for ZX-UNO / esxDOS
The ULA plugin will load and apply a ULAPlus palette 176 byte .tap file (https://sites.google.com/site/ulaplus/), a raw 64 byte ULA colour palette or a special container file which loads a palette and starts a game automatically. This has the following layout: ULA! PALETTE=ULAPLU~1/NINJAJAR.ULA GAM...

Re: Long Filename Browser for ZX-UNO / esxDOS
Hi, thank you for the excellent browser (it is amazing what can be written). I face to problems with snapshots with the latest version 0.18 - for example making snapshot of the Zosya game Travel Through Time 1. Any snapshot is somehow damaged, when I start it, the game immediately crashes. When I s...

Re: Long Filename Browser for ZX-UNO / esxDOS
New test version available here . Fixed a reported issue with the new PZX plugin getting into an infinite loop when processing a DATA block >= 64k (Star Wars.pzx). Also added 'VGA Scanlines' and 'Keyboard Issue' setting to the ZX-UNO configuration plugin. I use SCART for my ZX-UNO, so I haven't tes...

Re: Long Filename Browser for ZX-UNO / esxDOS
Wild Player for DIVMMC" I to get this Error under Fuse. Maybe this doesn´t happen with real hardware. With a real ZX-Uno I have not observed that problem. I have burned the 128MB image to a 2GB SD. I have copied the BIN and SYS folders containing esxDOS 0.8.9 and Bob Fossil's browser, and I ha...

Re: Long Filename Browser for ZX-UNO / esxDOS
New test version available here . The PZX plugin has been completely rewritten (based on the .loadpzx code) so it can now directly start PZX files without needing to create a temporary TAP file. You can also hold down shift while opening a PZX file to stop it auto starting. I've also added an inter...

Re: ZX-Uno+ & ZX-DOS+ manuals (english & spanish) by Kounch
If you are interested in the Next then either go for the N-GO or ZXDOS+. The ZXDOS+ apparently has the same FGPA as the Next and the core is very complete. The ZXDOS+ has the advantage of having the ability to have other cores, but the N-Go is probably the best for pure Next compatibility. Both are...

I've also modified Find Mode (Caps Shift + F) so that searching for a single character matches the first character of the filename - giving you a quick way to jump to the first file for a given character. You can then BREAK out of Find Mode and navigate from that point. If you enter two or more cha...

ZX-Uno+ & ZX-DOS+ manuals (english & spanish) by Kounch
Kounch is doing a great job preparing some manuals in English and Spanish for the ZX-Uno+ and ZX-DOS+. You can download them from here . NOTE : At the operational level, the ZX-Uno+ and the other ZX-Uno models are the same, so the content of the ZX-Uno+ manual is perfectly valid for other ZX-Uno mo...
