Re: Show It! (forum game)
That's brilliant.. I had the same idea but I couldn't find a game with a 'Des' in it (Des Lynam, Des O'Connor).
I remembered that Neighbours used to have a Des in its early days, so I loaded up its namesake and indeed, there's supposed to be a car driven by Des appearing in the game according to the instructions.
I ended up playing this flippin' Neighbours racing game for the best part of an hour. Never did find Des, was late going to bed, and I'm quite tired today.

Sorry for disturbing this thread.
For users that regularly take part in the popular 'Forum Game' threads it would be very much appreciated if you could turn off email notifications in your User Control Panel. This is because the mail service we use sets a limit on the sent emails each day. This could mean important emails (like user registration) don't get sent. Thank you.

Re: Show It! (forum game)
LOL great minds think alike. I too looked at the Neighbours game first and was pleased to read that it's supposed to feature Des driving his car, however I could only see the car on other versions of the game! It seems to be absent from the Speccy version!

Doh..! Bl**dy typical, that'd explain it, I even had a peek at the YouTube walkthrough as I only managed to win one race in the game itself...

LOL that is awesome. Living up to your name, Genius!

Monty On The Run
↑ (This game's title comes dangerously close to breaking the 'rule'…but not quite!)
Well, I'll be away most of the coming week so just in case anything goes wrong with the game, let me add another little rule...
Rule for impossible titles
If someone's posted a game title which you think is impossible, or seems to be stumping everyone, you may post the game's cover, allowing other players (but not you) to use any word written on the cover, should they need to.

And from Monty on the Run, via Daley Thompson's Decathlon...
...to... Auf Wiedersehen Monty. And yes, that was absolutely deliberate. Now, someone get to Wanted: Monty Mole or one of the modern AGD Monty games... somehow.
NOTE: yes, I know, that's 99.9% certain to be lager. However, Ze Churmans can make ales when they put their minds to it - I'm fairly sure that's what "Altbier" is supposed to be. So I'm going to say that stein is full of Altbier, German ale, GEBRAUT NACH DEM DEUTSCHEN REINHEITSGEBOT!

Re: Show It! (forum game)
Fun fact: the Altbier you mentioned is actually popular in the Düsseldorf region, and that city is where Auf Wiedersehen Pet took place in season one. Full circle to Auf Wiedersehen Monty, innit
On-topic ... not easy to continue this forum game with a German title, so XTM to the rescue ...
"Auf Wiedersehen Monty"? Well, the Dambusters destroyed the Eder Dam at the Eder River, so let's assume you see the Eder at some point in the game. I know it's a bit of a stretch but the forum game must go on
(And then there's this Carling beer ad, so nicely linking the above "beer" topic to this game)
