Inspired by Stuart Campbell's Speccy Arcade conversions list, I'm going through and having a bit of a play on some of these.
I remember liking Solomon's Key back in the day, but how do fireballs work (ie how does the player activate one)? There's no key for it in the "redefine keys" screen.
Solomon's Key - fireballs?
Re: Solomon's Key - fireballs?
Don't you hold down the fire/make-a-block button?
Re: Solomon's Key - fireballs?
That doesn't seem to work, unless I'm being very incompetent.
Re: Solomon's Key - fireballs?
Press V for fireball.
Re: Solomon's Key - fireballs?
Solomon's Key is a great game. I am fond of genuine brain-twisting puzzlers with realtime action elements, like this and Chip's Challenge. Anyway I never saw it in the arcade and I don't think I knew that firing was possible. Perhaps why I didn't get too far.
There was another game rather like this, but with a ball. It was called "Rebound" or "Revolution" or something...? I thought it was by Infogrames but I can't find it. (I don't mean "Helter Skelter", or "Turbulence", or any of 1000 other ball-based games! This one was really like Solomon's Key... lol)

Correct, thank you. Rainbow Arts, not Infogrames. My brain was thinking "FOREIGNERS" apparently
