As much as I love the speccy, sadly I don't think it would be possible to get any *real* work done with it. Imagine the keyboard membrane giving out, or R Tape Loading errors on the tape with your precious data, or the speccy spontaneously resetting due to a wobbly interface connection, et al. No, I think I'd still be using it for loading up games, typing in crap programs in BASIC or trying my hand at machine code in Zeus assembler.

You could absolutely get real work done on a +3 with it's decent keyboard and disk drive, I did. Not nowadays though! Not sure how I would have managed to complete my morning of web design I've just done on my old +3.
