They’re kind of screwy in 48K mode, too. Less so than in 128K, but still a bit wonky.

I've played it a bit (level 3), redefining keys in 48k and seems to work ok

I was using Spectaculator and ZX Spin. Which one were you using?

Xpectroid (Android), I will test it later with FUSE or other.

Unplayable ~ keys seem to do what they want when they want too and tank fires even when you're just manoeuvring (or trying to!).

Works OK for me with Spectaculator if the Keyboard Joystick is set to emulate Kempston

Not at all, I have played it several times and found nothing strange. I was using 128K mode.

It doesn´t work in any of my emulators. I'm having the same issues related by other people on this thread. Anyway, I will try on the "real machine".

The issues sound like what happens when a Kempston joystick isn't connected, but the game is reading the port and moving/firing based on the garbage values that are returned.

Yep, enabling Kempston Joystick on Fuse stops the random inputs.

There is a way to test if the Kempston port is giving garbage due to not being connected, and if so don't use it for input.
Alternatively have an option to disable it manually.

This may be the cause for the malfunction, yes. Tonight will test it ;)

Should be that, because, like I said, I have not had any issue with the game
