They’re kind of screwy in 48K mode, too. Less so than in 128K, but still a bit wonky.Rev_Stuart_Campbell wrote: ↑Sun Dec 12, 2021 1:15 pm Play this one in 48K mode, folks, the controls seem to be screwy in 128K.

Re: Battle City
I've played it a bit (level 3), redefining keys in 48k and seems to work ok

Re: Battle City
I was using Spectaculator and ZX Spin. Which one were you using?
Re: Battle City
Xpectroid (Android), I will test it later with FUSE or other.Andre Leao wrote: ↑Sun Dec 12, 2021 4:32 pm I was using Spectaculator and ZX Spin. Which one were you using?
Re: Battle City
Unplayable ~ keys seem to do what they want when they want too and tank fires even when you're just manoeuvring (or trying to!).

Re: Battle City
Works OK for me with Spectaculator if the Keyboard Joystick is set to emulate Kempston
Re: Battle City
Not at all, I have played it several times and found nothing strange. I was using 128K mode.

Re: Battle City
The issues sound like what happens when a Kempston joystick isn't connected, but the game is reading the port and moving/firing based on the garbage values that are returned.
Yep, enabling Kempston Joystick on Fuse stops the random inputs.
There is a way to test if the Kempston port is giving garbage due to not being connected, and if so don't use it for input.
Alternatively have an option to disable it manually.

Re: Battle City
This may be the cause for the malfunction, yes. Tonight will test it
Re: Battle City
Should be that, because, like I said, I have not had any issue with the gameAndre Leao wrote: ↑Mon Dec 13, 2021 12:23 pm This may be the cause for the malfunction, yes. Tonight will test it
