So: Code Scanner 3.2 was made in 1994. I have to check, but as I remember, Code Scanner programs load files from tape and let the user search for interesting stuff, like text messages, pictures. I am not sure and I have to check using a tape to search for pictures. Some games, while loading, load an image. During the game, this image is displayed, how to explain....like a HUD, like a graphical interface with an area where the game can be played. Well, those images can be found using Code Scanner. Once the image is found, the programs allow the user to download it, change/edit the image (in another program), then upload the new image back into the file. The max size of the file that can be loaded should be under 35k.
These programs have some instructions in Romanian, I am going to translate them soon, but first I have to test the programs. They were made 30 years ago, so I don't really remember all, sorry !!
First, we (me, Ionut Ghionea and my colleague and friend Adrian Chivu) made the programs in Romanian, we were like 14-15 years old with little/none knowledge of English. Later, we decided to switch the language to English.
About 'SCREEN$ LOAD 2' I don't know what to say, please let me check using the tape version. But anyway, this program change the way a screen is loading from tape, it adds some effects.
I want to try to load on my laptop some old tapes, let me understand how can I do that and I'll offer some not-in-the-list programs
. But first I'll check if the programs exist or not in the archive.
