And now from an unofficial version of Frogger and the millionth one I've reviewed at that to an unofficial version of Burger Time in which you can count the number of clones on one hand, in fact this is the only entry for the Burger Time name. It was written for the 2003 Bytemaniacos BASIC contest where it finished in 6th place, well I say that Spectrum Computing also lists Moon Patrol and Pitfall ZX as 6th so perhaps it was a three-way tie or something. Anyway, BASIC aside this is not a good version of Burger Time. First off it's slow but then again being in BASIC are we really surprised? Secondly the enemies for the most part are confused and not interested. And thirdly and most importantly, when you construct your burgers neatly and tidily for all to see, if they land on an enemy it squashes them or at least I could have sworm they did, the point is here they just go through the enemies and they carry on wondering around looking dazed and confused as if nothing happened. I think this might be why it didn't win the contest, let's just leave it at that and call it a night. Tell you what though I'm bloody hungry now.
