Reviews for Amaze (#17592)

Well, I have to confess that I am biased when it comes to this review ;-)

It was one of my first attempts at writing a BASIC program on the Spectrum.
Even back in the 80's I thought that the 'redraw' speed was slow - and would perhaps have benefited from being written in Z-80 assembler.

The idea behind the game is to develop a mental image of a maze, from images seen in perspective - and to escape through an exit. The position of the exit is provided to help find it.

It supports a two player game - where both players create a maze for their opponent to escape from. I tested this concept out on my brother-in-law, and quickly realised that it wasn't easy to do!!!

This is more of a "thinking man's" game - and not for someone who prefers 'shoot-em-ups'.
