Reviews for High Noon (#2315)

Review by dandyboy on 19 Nov 2011 (Rating: 5)

Wonderfuly simple game that compiles all the good qualities of the Spectrum !!

It is still fun nowadays 30 years after its release ... so imagine back in its day.

The limited bullet factor obligues you to think twice before shooting so it isnĀ“t as easy as it may appears at first glance.

You must use your brains as well as your ability in this videogame. As simple as High Noon may seem , I never get tired of it !! ;D

1983 Work Force (UK)

Sometimes the heart speaks louder than reason.
I know this is an incredibly simple game, but it will never disappear from my mind. If you didn't play it in 1983 you may not understand my words, but for us who played it, and I think I can speak for a lot of gamers, it remains fantastic.
The far west, two cowboys, a duel. Six shots each. Hide in the cactus, use the Stagecoach as a shield. Imagination will do the rest.
The best Boot Hill Spectrum conversion together with 'Cowboy Shootout'.
A CcclassiccC!

A poor game which has aged very badly, unofficial conversion of the Boot Hill prehistoric coin-op. Beeper sound (together with the infamous death march) is the most annoying feature of a game which should have faded into obscurity a long time ago. There was so much better stuff available for the Spectrum at the time!

This little jewel from Workforce is a nice conversion from the very old Midway's Boot Hill arcade classic.

A western duel in which you have limited bullets and a moving stagecoach and two cactus as shields. Simple but addictive.

One of the first Spectrum games I've ever played. Great for a 1983 one. Even the crappy Chopin's Funeral March played when a player loses a life is a fond recall.
