Very good Phoenix clone. Very playable and enjoyable. Great music as well. Phoenix fans should give this one a go.

I was never a fan of Phoenix, this however is pretty amazing. It's a very playable game and has great music that can be played during the game itself but I personally choose not to as it lags during the game and can be a distraction. I really enjoyed this.

Playable modernized version of the Phoenix coin op.

Upgrades of classic games rarely work, this though is one example that does. Not perfect but it's still a worthy clone.

For a 1991 version of a classic arcade game I was expecting a lot more. Collision detection is not the best, our ship gets destroyed far from contact with enemy ships, which makes it very easy to lose a game. Soundwise I really disliked it, the shooting doesn't sound at all like your normal spaceship shoot 'em up, more like bleeps and bloops and my version doesn't have the mentioned music and graphically although I dislike the style and monochromatic setting, I think it's well rendered with nice crisp detailed ships. Overall I prefer the early Spectrum versions which are more playable and cooler looking.

Certainly playable but for me it lacks the charm of the original. This was meant to be a upgrade but really in terms of quality it's more a downgrade to me and I will just stick to the original game.
