Everybody played it, everybody loved it!

A classic spectrum conversion from the famous Phoenix coin-up!

A typical 1983 Shoot-em-up and an all-time classic Spectrum game!

Excellent conversion to the Spectrum of the classic arcade space shooter. It looks and sounds the part, and the game-play is smooth and compulsive. Shooting aliens doesn't get much more satisfying than this. Always good to come back to for a quick game, even after doing so for 30 years.

What a cool game this one is !!!

In this case your spaceship is provided with a magnetic shield to help you repel the enemy´s batteries.

The color is as superb as the sound ... the playability is perfect and the addiction factor runs high.

The enemy´s mother-ship is worth a look !!!

Excellent unofficial Phoenix conversion from the very early days. I'm not sure how so many people ended up with a copy as it wasn't backed by a software house with much retail distribution, but it is still well known and liked on the Spectrum scene today.

So many much worse attempts at similar games exist on the Spectrum.

A very good conversion of the arcade classic Phoenix. 5 levels of pure shooter facing bloody waves of robot scout birds, war birds, asteroid belts and finally the heavily guarded flagship, where you must destroy the defensive system and kill the alien queen to save the earth.

It was difficult to find a decent game among the large amount of unofficial conversion of arcades back in the early years of the Spectrum, but this time Martin Ward and Megadodo made a great game (with a crap tune too!), a true addictive shooter with the right level of difficulty.

I feel I need to be playing at least ONE good game during self-isolation, thankfully Pheenix flies to the rescue. This is a very accurate representation of Phoenix. Looks great and plays right as well with responsive controls. It's as close to the original game as you can get. Really enjoyed this one.
