Reviews for Space Zombies (#4689)

Review by Alessandro Grussu on 15 Sep 2011 (Rating: 4)

A curious and frantic variation on the "shoot the aliens" theme. The Zombies fly in ever-increasing number following a pattern which looks not unlike a sort of hypnotising dance. Concentrating on them and avoiding being hit by a bullet or an enemy becomes therefore more and more difficult. An unusual and interesting if slightly annoying little shooter.

A very basic shoot'em up for 16K. The difference between levels lies in the number of aliens/zombies which increase as you progress. In fact the first time you play you only notice any difference after level 4. The author could have made each level with only a single type of alien or by colour so it wouldnt repeat itself so much.
The graphics not only are dull, but also ripped off from other games, namely 'Galactians'.
On the other hand if you like beating scores or see how far you can go it may appeal to you.

This is a shame because it looks like it could've been one of the nicer 16K shooters and I did like this at first, but then the more I played it the more I loathed it.
