A simple game where you hit the spiders that come down and if one reaches the bottom you are toast. The .txt document located in the z80 zip file mentions this as "a crap game written in BASIC", well it's in BASIC yes but it's far from crap, it's not great because it's limited and repetitive but the keys respond well and it's not running in like five frames a week speed, it's actually quite adequate for what it is. And it must be popular as three MODS based on this game exist. Arachnidos from 1984 is based on this game as are War Stars and Galaxia 20 which are from 2020 as such will not be reviewed here as they don't exist on this site. I'm mulling over whether this gets a 2 or a 3, it's too short, basic and primitive for a 4 rating as it doesn't offer very much and it's definitely not crap enough for a 1 rating. I went with 3 in the end because it's straightforward, it's simple, it has good key response and I liked it, so well done Tarantulas, you amused me with your BASIC simplicity.
