Reviews for ATV Simulator (#9306)

Very fun but pretty tricky racing game from Codemasters. Its graphics are nicely detailed and the gameplay is simple yet very challenging. It also contains great music from David Whittaker.

Codemasters released a lot of these "simulator" games over the years and this for me is one of their betters ones.....even if the Pyramid level continues to drive me mad!

Side scrolling All Terrain Vehicle 'simulator', similar in ways to Kickstart. Jump and avoid obstacles to get to the end of each themed track, against the clock. Fun with one player, but much more fun with two.
The game is slickly presented, you can see some effort has gone into its production. Some of the 'obstacles' become increasingly bizarre through the game, adding a bit of humour.
The graphics look good, work well, and there is some great animation. The beeper music between levels is just right, adding to the feel of the game. Game-play can be frustrating if you get tangled up with some of the moving obstacles, repeatedly falling off your vehicle, and trying to re-mount. After learning how to negotiate the courses and avoid trouble, however, it can start to feel a little bit too easy in single player mode.
This game received some stinky reviews, but I remember loving it, and still play through a few levels occasionally. It is a bit short of levels, and would benefit from more, or even better, a Kickstart style track editor. Still, especially for a budget £1.99 game, I consider it a classic.

1987 Code Masters (UK)
by Tim Miller, James Wilson and David Whittaker

A brilliant well written game with beautifully drawn graphics.
It's not exactly a simulator because you don't have the view of the sitting pilot, but it sure gives you a fell of ridding a stunt four wheel motorcycle.
It can became very hard in later levels, but I think that adds some addictiveness to the game.
I loved it when it first came out and still do.

ATV Simulator takes a side on view of the action as you attempt to negotiate increasingly trickier obstacle courses against the clock. Judging your speed is crucial, get it wrong and you'll take a spectacular tumble and more importantly lose time. It's good fun as a single player game but really comes into it's own with 2 players.

This has always been one of my favourite games and one of the most addictive. Brilliant gameplay and one of my favourite title tunes. I absolutely love this game.

ATV Simulator (Code Masters)
by Tim Miller, James Wilson, David Whittaker

I've always liked to play this simple but greatly playable and entertaining little game, and it had a revival about ten years ago when I used to play it with my 20 year younger cousins. It can be played by 2 players simultaneously. Lots of cool jingles, nice graphics, and seals.
4/5

One of the better "simulator" games from Code Masters. It's good fun and simple to play. Good stuff!
